Enlite x Libre Final results

Enlite x Libre  14 days review The Libre expired yesterday, and we had an amazing experience for 14 days. Overall the numbers were very similar. During the last 2 weeks we changed  the Enlite sensors twice, and Ana used them twice on her arms and the last one on her upper butt. Enlite has a quicker readings when on the arms. The first calibration when on the arm can be done quicker, and after 2 hours the numbers were spot on. When on her butt we waited much longer for it to calibrate. Just because we know that when on the butt 2 hours are not enough we waited 7 hours and just calibrated after that. Even with this waiting time, there was a significant diference on the first reading after calibration. The Enlite was 120 and Libre / meter around 160. After that we corrected the readings and both began to work on similar numbers again. The other diference that we note is that the libre filament os thicker than the Enlite. Libre X Enlite 1 week review

Hi! after 1 week using both Enlite and Libre, I can say we are very happy with the results. Today the Enlite expired (we could manage an extension and made 12 days with it) but after that I tried to extend it again for the 3rd time and it died... We begun with the Libre last Sunday, so we had seven days to compare both and we had pretty close results. I still checked my daughter's blood sugar with the Contour and compared the three of them, and the numbers were very consistent. My daughter will begin  a new Enlite today and we will be able do check the numbers later. for now you can take a look on a few of the results that I have from this week. Of course I have less pictures than expected, because there are always a few issues. One day my daughter went to school and left the Libre reader at home, another my phone ran out of battery... but I hope you can have an idea on what is going on here. Libre X Enlite

Ana is on the sensor for 8 years! She began with the old enlite, that old one, with the huge needle, back in 2006, time when the sensor wasn't very accurate, and we just used it to have an idea of her numbers. She was 5 years old and was having a lot of hypos, and because of that she was using the sensor full time. We knew we couldn't trust it, but it was better than not having it. Now in 2017 we have very accurate sensors, and FDA is saying that we can trust them. For us this is very hard, we still carry that old stigma that that CGMs are always late, and we can't do the corrections based on the CGMs  numbers. Last week we decided to check it up! Ana is using the enlite (connected the 640G pump) at her right arm and the libre at her left arm. I'm comparing the results and I will keep you posted here. So far the numbers are VERY similar!
